Written on my first camping trip with Harper, while in the tent awaiting the thunderstorms rolling in.
I lay here now without a sweater; In awe of this perfect weather. What should have been a dreary trip, Allows me now to find my grip On sanity; the world more clear, So I face the future without fear. For once the chaos ruled my world. Now given way to Joy unfurled. The winds will carry where I belong So the world may listen to my song. Be careful who surrounds and trust Should they deceive, then leave you must. For one thing certain, this I know: Like a seed, in darkness you'll grow. Allow your magic; enjoy your freedom! Tomorrow's uncertain: Carpe the diem!
