Enter now witness to my mind
Insanity swirling ever near A heart forgiven from the Divine But chaos beats the drums of fear A soul kept searching; on constant watch Overgrown guilt not trodden well Claims the day; an added notch Without Hope’s wings, a dream now felled An eerie fog that clouds the joy A broken dam of sorrow flows Salty rivers thus destroy Crumbling dreams with massive blows For what are we but shadows here? What legacy if none perceive? Nothing but stuff collected near And without kin, no one to grieve. How does one moment last forever? How can a memory never die? To feel so helpless; raised-arm surrender No answer to the question why To love without fear of being broken To live - let live – and seek to know Embrace the world with arms wide open With every stumble, let faith grow. The pounding fervor; panic rushing Dimmed some with fatigue and dark Thoughts no longer painful; crushing Inferno now merely dimmed to spark The frantic clamber trickled down The answers yet I cannot find I hear the whispers; courageous sound Enter now witness to my mind.
