Another poem from my past...and perfect for today, St Paddy's Day, when I sit here reflecting on my life and the all of the colors I have seen throughout the years... sparkling emerald sea-green; color changing years.
Here I sit awake and cry But the moon becomes forgiving tonight Softly calling me home In the soothing summer rain The trees wave out their sweet hello’s Rustling, leaves whisper “It’s alright” Sparkling emerald sea-green Color changing years I hear bluebirds singing For the tortured souls in need I see their flying splendor Over wounds that are unhealed Gently silenced footfalls I feel their presence near Resplendent, flowing fountains Of peace and harmony Ruby red, sapphire blue Color changing years Swelling hope and glory Gentle breezes calm my racing pulse Fear is washed completely Replaced with rush relief Pure perfection greets me If I search within my soul For that which has eluded me Desire to let go Smooth, unrippled sands of time Victor over human design Amethyst, topaz, onyz Color changing years Here I sit awake and cry But the moon becomes forgiving tonight Softly calling me home In the soothing summer rain Pure perfection greets me If I search within my soul For that which has eluded me Desire to let go Smooth, unrippled sands of time Victor over human design Sparkling emerald sea-green Color changing years Sparkling emerald sea-green Color changing years.
