Darkness settles
Shadows close And here I sit With frozen toes. Shudders forming Chattering teeth Muscles spasm No warmth beneath I close my eyes Internal flicker C'Mon now blood I can't get sicker The wheezing starts Inhaling cold The air so crisp Like breathing gold My phone now rings A much loved voice Extends an offer I make my choice We travel up A warm embrace Continue life Our steady pace With welcomed warmth A sweet reprieve For now we sit Tomorrow leave Here we gather Close for the night With hope that heat Returned by daylight. My heat/electricity had gone out and this was just a reflection of such... lol
