I miss how she smiled
How she saw the world Whispers of laughter As she danced and she twirled I’ll ever remember the easy appeal In confusion, now watch the mirage disappear. She daydreamed of wonder Life’s beautiful hour Each moment’s adventure Each capture a flower She tried to abandon the heartache; surreal But apparent is now how this world isn’t clear Always thinking of answers Each problem she solves Could not stop if she tried While hope slowly dissolves In the silence she needs the pain just to feel Unfolding the secrets; something beyond fear I can see dented pride Yet she stumbles ahead A long uphill battle The war raging instead She itches at scars gained from every ordeal Never before has the ache been so severe The noises, the voices Tunnel vision it seems Everything; Anything Hurdling emotional beams For now she has lost her once precious zeal The forgiveness of Saints becoming austere Through brutality; fact The delirium sane I’ve inferred the absurd An extraordinary mundane Through the lies she sees truth; the imagery real The rage against the dying of light is near Every storm must subside Sometimes dreams are delayed Power made perfect In weakness, some say But rattled or not, she’s refusing to kneel As she sees the reset button appear An absolute truth To the wings of forever The cyclone dies down Poetical ties she will sever To know this is reason; the greatest reveal For in darkness steps forth the lyrical engineer.
